Creation, Environmental Stewardship and our Biblical Roots.
Come join us on Wednesdays during Lent for an exciting discussion about our relationship with God as Creator and where we fit within the rest of God's Creation. We'll look at the biblical stories of Creation from a variety of Viewpoints and talk about how our interpretations of these stories and our various faith traditions have brought us to where we are now, both to the edge of great discoveries about nature, and to a deep societal divide that reaches into our very beliefs about reality. We'll be joined by Professor Jeff Cooley and Rabbi Jon Spira-Savett as we meet on Wednesdays in March and April 1.
sunday Adult christian Education
During Lent/March will be:
The Book of Common Prayer: A Guide to the Once and Future Book of Worship in our Church.
Join us on Sunday during Lent for a deep dive into our Prayer Book, the source of all our communal worship services and the handbook for the ministry of the Church. We'll look at everything from its history and formation amid the turmoil of the English Reformation, the struggle to update it for the American Church, its role in the various churches of the Anglican Communion and the places its going in the near future.
Commit yourself to experiencing a meaningful Lent
by taking advantage of these programs and
worship services of our church.
A Lenten discipline of both self-sacrifice
and mindful action can help us
better understand and participate in
Christ’s death and resurrection.
